Stem Deck: Switching to desktop mode

Desktop mode will help you unlock the full power of SteamOS

You’ll need to know how to get in to desktop mode if you intend on unlocking the Steam Deck’s full potential.

Thankfully Valve is AWESOME! and has made switching to desktop mode easy as pie, just follow these easy steps.

1. First bring up the Menu by pressing the “STEAM” button

2. Then select the “power” option

3. Finally select “switch to desktop” its that easy.

Things will go black for a second & you may see a flicker or two don’t worry it’s normal.
